Target audience: NQTs/BTs

This Bitesize module is designed to provide prospective and practicing teachers with a concise presentation of assessment principles that clearly and specifically relate to instruction and current research in the field. All three sessions of this module offer participants the opportunity to consider practical and realistic examples of assessment which can be developed for classroom practice. Participants will explore and consider perceptions of students and their role in self-assessment, alongside analysis of the strategies used by teachers and the formative strategies incorporated in such systemic approaches as mastery learning.

Bitesize topics are delivered as modules at Brentside High School– attendance all three dates is required as the work covered in each session builds on learning and group experiences of the preceding session.
