Event description

The NQT Mentor Network Meetings will run again this year (2018 - 2019):

Autumn Term: 01/11/2018
Spring Term: 14/03/2019
Summer Term: 16/05/2019

These meetings will support the NQT mentors in developing their roles in supporting NQTs, discover best approaches of mentoring and coaching and focus on how moving from a mentoring role to a coaching role can have a significant impact on building confidence and enabling NQTs to progress in their teaching career.

Learning focus:

  • Identifying the factors which contribute to good practice in mentoring NQTs;

  • Evaluate own practice and how well the resources allocated to mentoring are used;

  • Share good practice in mentoring of NQTs and disseminate it in own school

  • Share next steps / action planning

  • Sharing of key updates and documents

We aim to make this network a valuable network by:

  • Ensuring that efforts and time are worth

  • Maintaining commitment, seeing evidence that the networking is making a difference in schools

  • Solving problems through influence

  • Be sustainable by building internal capacity in your schools

Participants will be able to network and learn from some of our outstanding practitioners in Ealing schools!
