Event description

Schools are invited to attend a half day workshop on 'How to talk to parent’s about their child’s weight and survive!' This workshop will be held on 21 May, 1-5pm at Ark Priory Primary Academy, Acton Lane, London, W3 8NR and will be delivered by dietician Jill Scott and a very experienced public health consultant Karan Thomas who presented at our Talking About Health conference. Karan receieved excellent feedback at our conference and by school's request, we are bringing her back to deliver a more intensive half-day workshop. Feedback on Karan's presentation at our conference included: 'very relevant', 'good ideas', 'very useful startegies'.

This workshop is for school staff and health professionals involved in talking to parents/carers or children about their weight, and would like to be able to raise the issue of weight sensitively, appropriately and with more confidence.

This training is free for schools who purchased any of our 2019/20 packages and £100 for all other schools. Places on this workshop are limited so book via Ealing CPD online now to secure your place.

Afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided.
