Event description

NQTs will develop excellent subject knowledge in relation to the wide range of reading skills taught as part of the National Curriculum. Through opportunities to observe and analyse lessons, NQTs will explore best practice teaching of reading from decoding to utilising higher order thinking skills.

Discussion and practical activities to develop questioning, inference and comprehension skills will support teachers become confident in both the teaching of reading for meaning and promoting a love of reading for pleasure.

Cost: £50 per participant 
Venue: Montpelier Primary School
