Event description

Have you been asked to consider standing as chair or vice-chair of your governing body or to chair a committee? Is your current chair/vice-chair likely to stand down soon and you suspect you may be approached to take over? Have you considered standing but are not sure what is required and if you have the necessary skills? Are you already a chair and would like to learn new strategies and meet other chairs to share good practice?

If the answer to any of these questions is “yes” then you should book on this interactive and highly recommended course as it is suitable for all current and aspiring governing body chairs, vice-chairs and committee chairs. The session will refer to the chair’s role in strategic leadership and in ensuring accountability and will offer opportunities to share experiences and good practice and examine, the skills required to chair a meeting effectively. Participants will be provided with online access to a range of useful templates and checklists.
