Event description This free mindfulness taster sessions will introduce you to what mindfulness is and how it can be of benefit in a school setting

What are the Potential Benefits?

The benefits of mindfulness for adults is well-researched and a review of studies related to school teachers, shows positive impact in the following areas

Well-being, Emotional Regualtion, Sustained Attention, Teaching Efficacy, Self Compassion

The session will be an opportunity

  • To find out about the scientific research related to mindfulness for school staff and for children and young people

  • To dispel some of the myths and misconceptions around mindfulness

  • To have the time and space to explore some short mindfulness practices to support well-being

  • To provide you with some take-away, easy to use, tools and ideas to support stress reduction

  • To find out about the (Mindfulness in Schools Project) 8-week mindfulness course .b foundations, which has been specifically developed for adults in school settings (next course starting on 12th October)

  • To find out how to train to teach mindfulness to children and young people

Led by Lynne Copeland, Mindfulness Teacher and Educational Psychologist

Cost: Free to Ealing manitained schools
