| Event description | The Department for Education (DfE) clearly state that ‘all children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) should be able to reach their full potential in school. They should also be supported to make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training’ (DfE, 2013). This SEND training sessions will ensure that all governors understand their legal responsibilities regarding SEND for all governors / trustees and clearer understanding of questiosn to ask; ways to monior SEND. This session is ideal for new governors, those interested in SEND or as a refresher to ensure GBs are up to date/ compliant. These sessions will be facilitated by Madhu Bhachu, ELP Quality and Partnership Lead for SEND and Inclusion. |
