Event description Course Overview:

This course explains the role of the fire warden in fire and other emergencies and how the fire warden contributes to reducing the risk and impact of fire in the workplace by routine daily activity and carrying out weekly checks. As well as learning about the emergency role of a fire warden, the course includes learning about how fires start and how fire spreads through buildings together with the basic principles of prevention, protection and detection.

This course will take place at the Ealing Education Centre
Please note: The sign up period will close 5 working days before the course, to allow enough time for the trainer to contact delegates and provide course access information. 
Training objectives Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to explain ways in which fires start and spread, discuss the principles of prevention, protection and detection, and to describe their role in an emergency including habitual human behaviour obstacles to emergency evacuation, and identify the correct type of fire extinguisher to use. 
Target Group Any Staff.

Fire Wardens. All fire wardens must refresh this training at least every 3 years.
