| Event description | This one day refresher is designed for Therapeutic Thinking Tutors who were trained in 2022 - 2023. The course will provide updates to exisitng materials, as well as access to new content. It will be delivered by Adam Hayes, Director of Therapeutic Thinking. The key principles will be revisited and extended to support Tutors with their work in schools. This will include a focus on the following; Developing consistent daily practice among all adults working with children in your setting. Building a culture that is curious about children's behaviour, and seeks to understand its functions. Emphasising the links between teaching, learning, and behaviour. Delivering an effective behaviour curriculum. Enhancing your setting's graduated approach and its assessment of children's needs. Implementing a Therapeutic Thinking approach. Please reflect in advance of the course on the extent to which Therapeutic Thinking approaches have impacted the chidlren and young people in your setting since last year's training. |
