Event code SCH 24/194
Event description Therapeutic Thinking provides a set of principles and an approach that is designed to better understand and meet young people’s needs. The underlying theory and a practical, graduated and systematic set of tools supports leaders with the development of policy, culture and practice in relation to young people’s behaviour. It has had wide ranging impact in other Local Authorities, contributing to reducing exclusions, improving staff confidence, and developing relationships.

All delegates completing the training will be qualified as Tutors to deliver certified Therapeutic Thinking training in their settings. Therapeutic Thinking Tutors should also be closely involved with the setting’s behaviour policy, its implementation by all adults on a daily basis, as well as the application of a graduated response.

This is a three day course.

  • Day 1: Tuesday 17th October is face to face at Ealing Education Centre (lunch provided)

  • Day 2: Thursday 19th October is remote - Microsoft Teams link will be sent in the week of the course.

  • Day 3: Friday 20th October is remote - Microsft Teams link will be sent in the week of the course.
